Blog post 6- 2 title sequnces

Analyse 2 title sequences.

In a films opening title sequence we expect to see:

-Credits to who made the film and who's starring

-The title of the film

-Music or sound that fits in with the genre

-A preview of what's going to happen such a glimpse of a character or place

-The ident e.g. Warner Bros

Honey I Shrunk The Kids:

In this film opening like always we are shown the credits, such as who made the film and who's staring, followed by the title of the film which is shown in an artistic way, then the ident to give credit to the production company, and whilst this happens 2 shrunken cartoon kids go on a little adventure around the credits, whilst music and sounds are played which fit into the genre of the film, all of this is setting the scene and giving us a preview.

Saturday Night Fever:

In this film opening we are shown an establishing shot of the city and we hear traffic and city noises this is to set the scene, followed by this the credits start, showing the characters and other important people shortly followed by the title of the film and the ident, as this happens music starts to plays and we are shown the main character strutting down the city however the camera starts at his feet and makes its way up to his face, and this gives us a feel for the genre.
